T-Series is one of the oldest and most reputed Indian Music labels. There is nothing new in this, especially in India! However, a few months back when T-Series aimed to become YouTube’s most subscribed channel, there started an epic war!
PewDiePie vs T-Series
PewDiePie is currently the most subscribed YouTube channel but when the creator checked the rate at which T-Series is growing, it simply overwhelmed him! He tried calling T-Series out many times and even released a song to insult the Indian Music label, but ever since all this started, there hasn’t been any official word from T-Series.
There were many people who came out in support of this individual creator (PewDiePie) like Mr Beast, Logan Paul, Shane Dawson, adult movie star – Johnny Sins. Latest to come out in his support is Elon Musk – the founder of SpaceX, Tesla, Hyperloop, The Boring Company, and Neuralink. Even, UK Independence Party (UKIP), a Britain-based right-wing political party, had also showed their support publicly for this YouTuber.
PewDiePie had also received support from some hackers! Someone hacked about 50,000 printers with a message asking people to subscribe to PewDiePie and unsubscribe the T-Series channel. PewDiePie fans even hacked the Wall Street Journal and put an apology message in support of the YouTube creator!
Few people were also putting allegations on PewDiePie that he is using Subscribers-bot to stay as the most subscribed YouTube channel. However, there are no solid evidences to back this statement.
The campaign to keep him at the top was massive!
Getting support from so many people did help him to stay at the top, but just for a bit longer, as the result of this fight is inevitable and sooner or later T-Series will become YouTube’s most subscribed channel!
T-Series had successfully lowered down the subscribers gap below 200K multiple times, but then again PewDiePie started to grow. For once, the gap increased so much that it had gone to few millions, but again, T-Series narrowed it down by keeping an impressive steady growth rate!
T-Series already owns another metric of the Most-Watched YouTube channel and it won’t take this Indian Music label much time to become the Most-Subscribed YouTube channel as well!
According to some analysts, T-Series will surpass the current most subscribed YouTube channel, PewDiePie, around 84 million subscribers count. Earlier some analysts also predicted that T-Series would dethrone PewDiePie in the early January 2019, which didn’t happen! But looking at the current stats, it looks like it will take around 2 – 3 days at max for T-Series to surpass its rival and claim the YouTube crown.
The T-Series vs PewDiePie fight has also benefited the Indian Music label, as because of this epic subscribers fight, T-Series is now known worldwide to a even bigger audience! Bhushan Kumar (owner of T-Series) said, “Everybody knows T-Series across the world now. If we had become number one on our own, nobody would have known about us.”
While I was writing this article the subscribers gap had fallen to a mere 75K!
