Motiv has finally concluded the Android™ Open Beta and released the Android app for its fitness tracking device, ‘Ring’. Motiv announced about the launch of Android app in a blog post and added a welcome note for the Android users, “We are so excited to offer Motiv Ring to Android users, and can’t wait for you to get your rings.”
Motiv also made the Android Ring Android app compatible to Google’s health-tracking app, Fit. The app is available on the Google Play store to download, but currently supports few devices only –
- Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, S8, S8+, S9, and S9+
- Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Note 8
- Google Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2, and Pixel 2 XL
Motiv also gave assurance that they will be trying hard to expand the list of supported Android devices for Ring, “We will be working hard to extend our Android compatibility for more Android devices.”
It took company quite long to conclude the Android™ Open Beta and launch the Android app. A small team on-board trying to fix all the issues before releasing the app might be the reason for that.
Having launched the Ring Android app, Motiv is expected to register a sharp rise in sales, as Android is the world’s largest mobile operating system. Not only that, so many fans are still waiting for Motiv to make Ring available globally. It will be quite interesting to see the kind of response Motiv gets, after releasing Ring internationally.
Motiv Ring is available on Amazon.com under a price tag of $199.99.
