The social media giants would do anything to increase the user engagement on and with their platform. In a bid to increase the engagements, Instagram introduces the question sticker that you can use to poll your friends.
However, the polling feature was already there for the ephemeral stories and this new feature of question sticker made it even more interesting and not to forget ‘even more engaging’ for Instagram users.
Instagram said, “a way to start conversations during moments when you don’t necessarily have a photo or video to share.”, in simple words, you can say Instagram wants you to post even when you don’t have anything to post.
The latest question sticker for polling has already started rolling on Android and iOS.
To access the question sticker feature you need to go to the sticker drawer, just tap it and type out a prompt and place it on your newly published post. Now, when your friends see your question sticker they can tap it to send their replies or their questions.
You might be wondering about where would the replies go! Instagram left it a bit confusing.
The replies / questions to your newly published question sticker will appear in the list of people who have viewed your story and which you can see in the bottom-left corner of the post.
Next, from there only you can tap on the question to create a new story post. That question will be automatically inserted into the story and you can answer the same as you feel comfortable.
You will know who asked you the question, but you won’t be able to see their usernames and photos.
This newly introduced feature is already getting loved by the users and seems like the social giant has been successful in making its users more engaged on the platform.
