The DNS service is available for all and the best thing about Cloudflare’s DNS service is that the company has focused on the privacy so much and has said that they will wipe out all logs of the DNS queries within 24 hours and this is what makes 1.1.1.1 special from others like Google DNS and OpenDNS.

Usually ISPs provide DNS services, but they are slow and not reliable and that is when DNS providers like Google come into play. Now, we have even better alternative i.e., Cloudflare’s DNS – 1.1.1.1

“We talked to the APNIC team about how we wanted to create a privacy-first, extremely fast DNS system”, Cloudflare CEO said. “They thought it was a laudable goal. We offered Cloudflare’s network to receive and study the garbage traffic in exchange for being able to offer a DNS resolver on the memorable IPs. And, with that, 1.1.1.1 was born.”

Cloudflare’s DNS is currently sitting at the top by having a global response time of 14ms, while, OpenDNS and Google have the response time of 20ms and 34ms respectively.

Cloudflare is not a new name into the industry and this is even not the first time that the company has come up to make internet even better and secure for the users globally. Cloudflare has helped countless webmasters to install free SSL encryption on their websites/ blogs, and also has helped the developers to save their site from DDoS attacks.
